El Reno community and first responders honor hero Sgt. Thomas Duran
EL RENO, Okla. (KFOR) - The community of El Reno is paying final respects to one of its own while serving in the line of duty.
On Monday, law enforcement from around the state escorted the body of El Reno Police officer Sergeant Thomas from the Medical Examiner's Office to Kingfisher Funeral Service.
Sergeant Thomas Duran was hit by a car on Friday, October 17th.
On Thursday, October 23rd, the family honored Duran's wishes to be an organ donor.
The El Reno police union is collecting donations to help support Duran's family.
If you would like to make a donation in support of Sgt. Duran and his family, the El Reno Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 151 is accepting cash, checks, and gift cards for those who wish to donate to Sgt. Duran's family.
If you are writing a check, please make it payable to “El Reno Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 151” and include “Sgt. Duran” in the memo line.
