Child found unresponsive in pond at Edmond apartment

EMDMOND, Okla (KFOR) - Police say around 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon, a 3-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a pond at Coffee Creek Apartments in Edmond.

A teenager was fishing the pond near W 15th St. and S Kelly Ave when he saw what he believed to be a small child, according to police.

Edmond Fire arrived on scene and pulled the child out of the water, and began CPR.

The child was taken to Integris Hospital in Edmond.

Police say they located the father after the child was transported to the hospital.

Police have confirmed the 3-year-old boy is deceased.
