A metro woman is searching for answers after she was hit by a car while out on a morning walk
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Police are searching for a driver who hit a woman earlier this week. The victim says she was out on a morning walk when someone hit her.
"The car just came out of nowhere, he just like sped up and hit me," said Jazlyn Thomas, victim of a hit and run.
A morning walk ended abruptly for Thomas after someone hit her with their car and took off.
"I don't know how fast he was going, but all I know is that he hit me extremely hard," said Thomas.
Thomas says she takes morning walks often. She was crossing the road from CVS towards the Casey's near Reno Ave and Mustang Rd when someone hit her.
"I took the safety measures that I needed to take to get off the road as fast as possible," said Thomas. "I just told Siri to call 911. I actually don't even really remember being hit."
She says she does know that the driver kept going.
"Actually, no one stopped to help me; everyone just sat there and stared, honestly. I even heard a few people ask me what's wrong, but I can't think when I just got hit by a car," said Thomas.
Oklahoma City Police say there is no information as to who could have done this.
Now Thomas is left with pain and a lot of questions.
"I just have a bruise right here on my leg, under my rib cage," said Thomas. "To find out who this was, and to at least get some type of questioning on why they did it."
News 4 reached out to businesses near the intersections to see if anyone caught the incident on camera, and we are waiting to hear back.
