JENNINGS, La. (KLFY) – A proposed recall of Elton’s mayor can proceed after a District Judge ruling.
Jeff Davis Parish District Judge Steve Gunnell handed down a ruling on Monday that the recall election may proceed. Judge Gunnell said the registrar followed the provisions of the election code for certifying a recall petition.
The recall election is scheduled for April of 2024.
