Louisiana man accused of following driver on I-20 and exposing himself

In October 2023, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office received a report from a female victim who mentioned that she was traveling on Interstate 20 eastbound from Ruston, La. to Monroe, La. While en route to Monroe, the victim encountered a male subject driving in the same direction.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

WEST MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) -- In October 2023, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office received a report from a female victim who mentioned that she was traveling on Interstate 20 eastbound from Ruston, La. to Monroe, La. While en route to Monroe, the victim encountered a male subject driving in the same direction.

According to court documents, the victim passed the male subject's vehicle near the Choudrant exit and she realized the male subject was behind her. Once the victim was near the Well Road exit, the male subject pulled alongside her vehicle and waved his hands to get her attention.

The victim raised her hands to gesture "What?" and the male subject allegedly yelled, "You're so hot." The male subject then allegedly arched his pelvic area and exposed his genital area. The victim sped away from the male subject and described the suspect and the suspect's vehicle to authorities.

In November 2023, the victim's daughter and a friend were traveling on the same route and encountered the same suspect. The victim's daughter did not notice the suspect until he allegedly drove alongside her vehicle, waving his hands to get her attention.

According to authorities, the suspect motioned for the victim's daughter to lift her shirt and mentioned that he would pay her. The victim's daughter denied his request and took the nearest exit. Once the suspect passed by the exit, the victim's daughter captured pictures of the suspect's vehicle.

The victim's daughter placed the pictures of the suspect's vehicle on social media with a request for individuals to help identify the suspect. The suspect's name was provided within a few days after the social media post was made.

According to court documents, the suspect was identified as Samuel Landry and he was arrested on January 22, 2024. Landry was charged with Obscenity and his bond was set at $7,500.
