New Iberia man catches albino catfish, says it's a one in a million catch
Comeaux said it's a one in a million catch, and he plans to mount it for the memories.
(KLFY)-- This one New Iberia resident did not expect to reel in this rare catch.
Marcus Comeaux, 41, caught this three pound albino catfish on a worm in the Intracoastal Waterway last night.
Albino catfish are seen as white due to their lack of pigment. The light coloration of these specimen make it even more difficult for them to hide from predators, which is why it's not common to see many adult albino catfish out in the open in the waters; they are found mostly in captivity to avoid dangerous threats.
