Cleco mobile app aims to help customers monitor usage and billing

(KLFY)-- Cleco customers now have a better way to check their usage and how it will impact their monthly billing with a mobile app.

Andre Guillory, chief customer officer for Cleco, said the MyAccount mobile app is all about improving the customer's experience.

"My Account is an online portal and now a mobile app that allows our customers the ability to self-serve, to manage their Cleco account," Guillory said. "It's got a number of features that are all born with the idea of giving customers more control and more visibility and improving the customer experience."

Guillory said the app has some features that were not available before which will give customers more control over their usage which directly impacts their bills.

"Customers can see not just their monthly usage and compared to historical and others, but they can see daily and even hourly usage on an almost real-time basis," Guillory said.

"They have the opportunity to make adjustments or at least be prepared for what that bill is going to look like at the end of the month, rather than being surprised," he added.

He said customers can register using their Cleco account number, the last four digits of their social security number and a valid email and phone number.

"We hope that it enhances their experience and we'll continue to build on the functionality that's available in the app and through my account. Just as we hear from customers."
