A Church Point man wanted on attempted murder charges from a Jan. shooting was arrested.
CHURCH POINT, La. (KLFY) – A Church Point man wanted on attempted murder charges from a Jan. shooting was arrested.
According to Church Point Police, a man wanted for attempted murder and other charges has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Church Point business in January. The suspect allegedly shot at someone at the business.
Joseph Wheeler Jr., 29 of Church Point, was arrested on the following charges:
- Attempted second degree murder
- Resisting an officer
- Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
- Simple escape
- Resisting by providing false identification
Wheeler also has an outstanding arrest warrant out of Texas, authorities said.
