Juvenile arrested in Sunday theft of guns from Crowley pawn shop
An unidentified juvenile was arrested after allegedly stealing guns from a Crowley pawn shop, according to Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert.
CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- An unidentified juvenile was arrested after allegedly stealing guns from a Crowley pawn shop, according to Crowley Police Chief Troy Hebert.
Crowley Police responding to an alarm at the Acadia Pawn shop shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday said they found two male subjects on bikes fleeing the scene. One of the suspects eventually ditched the bike and ran away, but was later apprehended. Police said they recovered three handguns from his pockets, all still having pawnshop tags on them.
The other suspect is still at large, but officers located three more weapons on the ground, one of them an AR-15, Hebert said. A total of six weapons were recovered in all.
The subject arrested was a juvenile and was charged with burglary and possession of a firearm under 21. More arrests are expected in this case, authorities said.
