SLEMCO confirms that power has been restored.
UPDATE, 5:33 P.M.: SLEMCO confirms that power has been restored.
ORIGINAL, 5:00 P.M.: LAFAYETTE PARISH, La. (KLFY) – Nearly 1,400 SLEMCO customers experiencing power outages, mostly in the Youngsville area.
According to SLEMCO's website, the majority of the outages are in the southern part of Lafayette Parish, with a few in Vermilion and St. Landry Parish.
A branch fell across a power line on Savoie Road and pulled it down. Crews are on the way to repair. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
