ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (BRPROUD)-- According to the National Weather Service, an EF-1 tornado hit St. Francisville on Wednesday, April 10.
The community is working together to clean up what was damaged in the storm.
“Teams geared up right now working in West Feliciana, East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee Parish, Slidell, down to the West Bank, Chalmette and all through Baton Rouge,” Chase McClelland, Highland Homes Construction Owner said.
His construction company is hitting all of the parishes that were impacted by the storm. They are knocking on every door to make sure the works gets done.
“We’re also here to help homeowners navigate through the very complicated insurance process when a type of loss like this does happen,” McClelland said.
He said the last thing people want to deal with is going back and forth with insurance companies.
“We come in, help them, stop the damage and deal with the insurance company to help get any damages paid for,” McClelland said.
He said the team will be covering the impacted areas for about another week.
