UPDATE, 7/25/25, 4:20 P.M.: Earlier today, City of Rayne Board of Aldermen, Kenneth Guidry, has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault, police said.
According to Crowley Police Department, they reported that officers worked a case involving Guidry committing an alleged sexual assault against a Walmart employee while inside the Crowley Walmart on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported by the victim who was an employee and was caught on camera, police said.
Guidry turned himself into the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Department on a warrant for one count of sexual battery.
There is an ongoing investigation. We will update as more information is released.
ORGINAL STORY: CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- A member of the City of Rayne Board of Aldermen has been arrested and charged with sexual battery, court records show.
Kenneth Guidry, 62, of Rayne, is charged with sexual battery — rubbing and touching.
According to the Acadia Parish Jail online jail roster, Guidry was arrested on a warrant by the Crowley Police Department on Friday. Jail records show he was released on a personal surety bond of $25,000 set by 15th Judicial District Court Commissioner Andre Doguet.
Guidry has been the Alderman for Ward 2 in the City of Rayne since 2014.
