LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- The Hotel Lafayette, set to open next year in downtown Lafayette, will feature Bayou Teche Brewing as part of its offerings, bringing an authentic Acadian experience to the area.
Karlos Knott, owner of Bayou Teche Brewing, is excited to bring his signature recipes and beers to the city where he was born. The brewery will be a key feature of the new hotel, which aims to reflect the culture and cuisine of Acadiana.
"They wanted something in their restaurant and bars that really said 'Acadiana,'" Knott said.
Knott has been working for over a decade to bring Bayou Teche Brewing to Lafayette, and the opportunity arose with the development of the Hotel Lafayette. Fresh off winning the Louisiana King of Seafood competition, Knott looks forward to bringing his pizzas to Lafayette while also bringing more dishes to the table.
"It's going to be, I think, a chance for us to really show our skills as chefs over there because we're doing room service, will have to have breakfast." Knott said. "We'll have to have lunch. We have to also service the pool with another bar and food there. So it's a lot more a lot more work."
Knott mentioned that the upcoming year will be filled with planning and preparation, as the hotel aims to open its doors in 2026. He is looking forward to sharing new recipes and beverages with visitors and locals alike.
With the Hotel Lafayette's opening on the horizon, Karlos Knott and Bayou Teche Brewing are set to make a significant impact on Lafayette's culinary scene, offering a taste of Acadiana to all who visit.
