Breaux Bridge childcare worker arrested for allegedly striking two children
CARENCRO, La. (KLFY) -- A childcare worker has been arrested for allegedly striking two children while working.
On Sept. 10, the Carencro Police Department was requested by the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services to investigate an incident that took place at the Little Blessing Childcare and Pre-School in Carencro.
Officials said during the investigation, they learned that an employee of Little Blessings Childcare, Ty’ana Amor Jones, 20, of Breaux Bridge, had struck two children ages one and three years old while she was employed at the childcare center.
Jones was arrested and booked into a Lafayette Parish jail on two counts of felony cruelty to juveniles. No information was released regarding her bond.
