Vehicle strikes woman and child in Opelousas

OPELOUSAS, LA (KLFY) – Woman and child were struck by a vehicle after driver suffered a medical emergency, police said.
A vehicle struck two pedestrians on North Park Boulevard earlier this morning police said.
According to police, the driver of a vehicle was allegedly traveling northbound and suffered from a medical emergency that caused him to lose control.
During this incident, the vehicle struck a woman and three-year-old girl. Police reported the woman sustained minor injuries and the child suffered moderate injuries.
This incident remains under investigation, and additional details will be released as they become available.
