Lafayette house fire caused by lightning, no injuries reported

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A house was engulfed in flames at the 300 block of Creekwood Drive in Lafayette, firefighters said.
According to officials, the fire was cause by lightning and seemed to have started in the upper part of the home.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and evacuate the residents with no reported injuries, officials said.
