Louisiana's Heaven Breaux prepares for Teen USA national stage
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Heaven Riley Breaux, Miss Louisiana Teen USA, is set to compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant this October in Reno, Nevada.
Breaux has been involved in pageants for six years and has long dreamed of competing on the Miss Teen USA stage. Her journey began as a young girl watching Miss Universe, and she has worked tirelessly to achieve her goal.
"I finally achieved one of my biggest dreams," Breaux said. "I still can't believe it but I'm wearing the sash and crown today, so it came true."
Breaux's experience as a cheerleader at Lafayette Renaissance Charter High School has contributed to her pageant success. She was thrilled to travel to Mississippi to compete for the title of Miss Louisiana Teen USA.
Breaux often reflects on the Bible verse Philippians 4:13, which states, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Breaux is determined to showcase the spirit of Louisiana on the national stage.
"I want to show everyone, not just in Louisiana, but all across the United States, that we have some really determined people in Louisiana. And I'm one of them," she said.
Looking beyond the pageant, Breaux has aspirations of becoming a news anchor, continuing her journey of inspiring others.
