Morgan City drug bust: Fentanyl, Cocaine Seized
MORGAN CITY, La. (KLFY) -- A Morgan City man was a arrested following a narcotics search at a residence on Birch Street, police said.
Police said they arrested Michael Anthony Noel, 53, of Morgan City and charged him with the following:
- Possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl, Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Synthetic Marijuana and Hydrocodone
- Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Sales
- Violation of Uniform CDS Drug Free Zone
- Distribution of Cocaine
- Distribution of Fentanyl
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The arrest was the result of a long-term investigation into Noel's alleged involvement in the distribution of illegal narcotics, including Fentanyl, Cocaine and Methamphetamine, police said.
During the search, police said they recovered suspected cocaine, methamphetamine numerous bags of fentanyl, drugs, cash and vehicles connected to the investigation.
Noel, who is currently on federal parole stemming from previous federal narcotics convictions, was taken into custody.
No information of Noel's bond has been released.
