Raising Cane's launches campaign to support cancer research
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- Raising Cane's is launching a campaign this October to support Stand Up To Cancer by selling Pink Plush Puppies, with $3 from each sale going to cancer research.
Chris Stevens of Raising Cane's said the Pink Plush Puppies are available for $9.99 at Raising Cane's locations, and the initiative is part of the restaurant's ongoing commitment to community involvement and fundraising.
"This is a major part of what we do and what we give back to the community," Stevens said.
Stevens highlighted Raising Cane's history of donating over $80 million since its founding in 1996.
"Stand Up to Cancer was started in 2008 and it's not only for breast cancer, but it's for all cancers and for all research that is going on. " Stevens said. "As of last year, they've raised over $800 million for every type of cancer research."
Raising Cane's encourages customers to stop by their local restaurant and purchase a Pink Plush Puppy, with sales running through October 31st. By purchasing a Pink Plush Puppy, customers can contribute to the fight against cancer, supporting research and awareness efforts through Stand Up To Cancer.
