The initial investigation revealed she suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, deputies said. During the investigation, detectives learned the victim was a Lyft driver who had been working that day and the location of her car was unknown.

Later the same evening the car rediscovered in a parking lot in the Houston area, at which time the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched. When deputies attempted to make contact with the two individuals inside the car, they allegedly fled on foot, officials reported.

One of the suspects, identified as Ethan I. Bush, 26, of Lafayette, and taken into custody by Harris County Sheriff’s Office.  After further investigation, deputies said the evidence was also located linking the suspects to the homicide.

Tristan Bush is currently in Harris County awaiting extradition to Calcasieu Parish. Tristian Bush is charged with second degree murder and has a bond set at $2.5 million.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are likely to be pending.
