Acadiana Eats celebrates 10 years of local culinary delights
(KLFY) -- Acadiana Eats is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of showcasing the best food, flavor and culture that Acadiana has to offer.
Since 2015, Acadiana Eats, hosted by Gerald Gruenig and produced in collaboration with videographer John Weatherall III, has visited over 400 local eateries, highlighting the unique culinary offerings of the area.
"The main reason this impactful segment has been able to stay on the air all these years is due to three big factors: the historic KLFY News 10, our loving, supportive, and amazing viewers, and my brother and best friend, videographer John Weatherall," said Gruenig.
"I grew watching KLFY and I remember they had food segments in the past but this has taken it to a whole other level." Weatherall said. "Acadiana Eats is just a whole other beast, honestly. It's just been amazing to be a part of that journey. Still to this day, ten years later, people are still wanted to be featured on Acadiana Eats. People still stopping us and being like 'you guys are going to be part of KLFY history,' and that's going to be forever y'know."
The special anniversary episode of Acadiana Eats will air on Friday, Oct. 24, at 6:30 pm on KLFY and KLFY+. This episode will feature more insights from John Weatherall III, George Faust and Gerald Gruenig.
As Acadiana Eats enters its second decade, the show continues to celebrate the vibrant food and culture of the region, supported by a dedicated team and a loyal audience.
