LOSFA offices reopen after cyber incident
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A cyber incident halted Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) hours.
The Louisiana Board of Regents announced Monday that offices of the LOSFA have reopened and resumed normal operations after a cyber incident.
Officials said a third-party investigation is underway and is expected to finish soon.
All START deposits have been processed, and users should see them in their accounts. Officials said START account holders with auto ACH debit transactions will resume Nov. 1.
"Protecting the security, safety and privacy of the state’s information systems is of the highest importance, and we are working to further enhance the security of those systems and develop additional resilience measures," the Louisiana Board of Regents said.
