Linus Shelvin, 57, of Lafayette, was convicted of second-degree murder and is set to be sentenced for the 2021 domestic homicide of his girlfriend, Nicole Hamilton, with a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
