Flood, tornado watches active in NE Kansas

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The National Weather Service (NWS) says parts of northeast Kansas are under threat Friday of flooding and possible tornadic activity.

The NWS station in Topeka is warning locals of dangerous conditions over the next few days including golf ball sized hail, damaging winds up to 70 mph and a risk of tornadoes. Kansas Governor Laura Kelly also issued a state of disaster emergency on April 26 due to the threat posed by the approaching severe weather.
