Washburn volleyball climbs to No. 9 in AVCA poll
TOPEKA (KSNT)- The hot start continues for the Ichabods.
Washburn volleyball has moved up three spots in the AVCA Poll from No. 12 to No. 9 after its 4-0 weekend at the Washburn Invitational.
The Ichabods now sit 8-0 on the season. The team has won 24 of its 25 sets so far in 2025.
Through eight games, Washburn ranks ninth in Division II in both blocks per set (2.74) and assists per set (13.44). They also rank third in the country in hitting percentage (.340)
Washburn will travel to Warrensburg, Missouri, for the Comfort Inn Invitational to close its non-conference schedule from Sept. 19-20.
The team will then open MIAA conference play Sept. 26 at home against Northwest Missouri State University.
