TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Fire Department (TFD) announced that Kevin Gill has been appointed as the interim division chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Gill most recently serviced the TFD as a shift commander and he has more than 25 years of service with the city of Topeka. He was appointed by interim TFD Chief Chad Longstaff.

“Kevin brings 25 years of experience to Fire management with his knowledge, education, and leadership,” Longstaff said. “He rose through the ranks from firefighter to shift commander and is ready to transition into this new role. He has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate well with Fire management staff as we continue moving the department forward.”
