Three Hospitalized After Shooting in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, KS (KSNT) – Three individuals were hospitalized following a shooting incident in Jackson County on Saturday afternoon, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities responded to a disturbance call around 12:30 p.m. just north of Mayetta. The caller reported a physical altercation involving three people outside a residence, during which gunshots were fired and one person was struck.
Before deputies arrived, a vehicle reportedly left the scene. Moments later, dispatch received a second emergency call indicating that a male individual had arrived at another residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were initiated on-site.
All three individuals involved in the incident were transported to a Topeka hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the case remains under active investigation.
