Former Jayhawk Christian Braun agrees to $125 million contract extension
LAWRENCE (KSNT) - Denver Nuggets guard and former Kansas Jayhawk, Christian Braun, has agreed to a five-year, $125 million rookie contract with the franchise, according to ESPN.
The Burlington native was the #21 pick in the 2022 NBA draft, and he became a developmental find and success for the Nuggets executives. The Nuggets hade it a top priority to secure Braun as a part of the franchise core going forward.
Since becoming a starter in the 2024 season, Braun has averaged 15.4 points a game, 5.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists and has shot 39.7% from the three point line. His growth at shooting guard is a crucial element in supporting NBA star Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and the rest of the Nugget's starting lineup.
