Patchy morning frost, warm and sunny this afternoon
What We’re Tracking
- Chilly morning temperatures
- Sunny, mild afternoons
- Rain chance later this week
The wind has calmed down significantly since yesterday afternoon. This has allowed temperatures to drop down into the middle to upper 30s. Some spots across northeast Kansas may see some frost develop this morning.
The October feel is here with the dry air and calm conditions which continue throughout the day making it slightly warmer with the high in the lower 70s. Another chilly morning on Thursday, with frost possible, followed by mild temperatures in the afternoon.
We see our next rain chance Thursday evening into Friday as a trough moves over the Great Plains raising our dew point back into the 50s. This will combine with the approaching system to give us scattered rain off and on through the day Friday, as well.
