Legends Outlet changes name after decades in KCK. Here's what's to come
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City's famous open-air outlet mall, Legends Outlets, is changing its name -- ushering in a new era after nearly 20 years in the metro.
Welcome to the Tanger Kansas City at Legends!
The name change comes just over a month after the Kansas City, Kansas, outlet mall was purchased for $130 million by the real-estate investment company Tanger.
Tanger is known as a nationwide investor that owns dozens of outlet malls and shopping centers across the country. Currently, it has 40 outlets in North America in its investment portfolio.
As part of the different ownership, shoppers can expect new offers and benefits through the national TangerClub guest loyalty and savings program, as well as the consumer mobile app, which allows customers to access deals both in-person and digitally.
According to the company, this business venture comes at just the right time, giving shoppers the opportunity to take advantage of "Tanger Deal Days" for the holiday season -- from Nov. 1-23. The offer includes an additional 15-25% off select brands, like Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Old Navy and Under Armour.
“Joining the Kansas City community is a big milestone for Tanger, and we’re thrilled to celebrate with local shoppers by introducing our popular TangerClub program,” said Regional Marketing Director Mackenzie Reagan.
"Guests can expect an even more rewarding experience when they visit the center with the addition of exclusive savings and perks, seasonal deals and community events that bring extra convenience, value and fun.”
On Nov. 1, the Kansas City community is invited to join the "TangerClub Launch Party" from noon to 3 p.m.. The event will feature a DJ, a fashion caricature sketch artist, a DIY patch station, photo opportunities and more.
Shoppers will also be able to "catch the savings” with wind-blown store coupons, prizes and gift cards.
