One person dead after a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY (KSNT) - One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Jefferson County on Saturday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Logs, Lorretta Stewart, 67, of Nortonville died in a head-on collision. The KHP says Stewart was driving Southbound on K4 Highway in the Northbound lane when she struck a 2019 Dodge Journey traveling Northbound.

The driver of the Dodge Journey, and three passengers, including a 6-year-old and a two-month old were all taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
