Royals infielders Bobby Witt Jr., Maikel Garcia win Gold Glove award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KSNT)- Bobby Witt Jr. and Maikel Garcia have both won Golden Glove awards for the 2025 season.

They are the first two short stop/third base teammates to win Gold Gloves in the same season since since J.J. Hardy and Manny Machado of the Orioles in 2013.

It is the 18th time overall that teammates have won at SS and 3B in the same year.

Witt earned his second consecutive Gold Glove award and becomes the first player in franchise history to do so.

Garcia joins George Brett as the only players in franchise history to claim the award at third base.
