Kansas City Royals to remain on FanDuel Sports Network for '26 season
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Royals will remain streaming and broadcasting on FanDuel Sports Network in the 2026 season, the team announced Wednesday.
The Royals and Main Street Sports Group, which owns FanDuel Sports Network Kansas City, exercised their mutual option to remain streaming on FanDuel for the now upcoming season.
Like last season, games will be available via the FanDuel Sports Network app, cable and satellite providers and with an Amazon Prime Video add-on. The agreement does not cover nationally-televised games.
“There is nothing more important to us than connecting with and making our games available to our great fans,” said Royals Chairman and CEO John Sherman in a news release.
“Our viewership is growing and continues to rank among the best in baseball both through linear cable and streaming, and we look forward to continuing that strong momentum through our ownership group’s investment and the exciting team J.J. Picollo and his staff are building.”
The mutual option that was exercised comes after the expiration of a one-year deal between the Royals and Main Street Sports Group. However, after the extension, the contract will expire, and the Royals will have the chance to look over other options.
The Royals' news release shared that last season's games ranked number one in primetime in the Kansas City area and top 10 in all of Major League Baseball household ratings. Total average minute audience, total unique streamers and total minutes streamed were all up as well.
