Short-notice Topeka car show will collect holiday gifts for kids
TOPEKA (KSNT) - A local organizer is putting together a car show for this weekend with the goal of collecting Christmas presents for kids.
Starting at noon and going until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, there will be a toy drive for kids and car show at the Dugout, located at 1545 SW Fairlawn Rd. The event organizer, CA Brocueleg, said this event is being organized on short notice to help bring joy to kids for the holidays.
Brocueleg said the public is invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls. Attendees will also be able to check out all of the local cars at the event.
"On short notice, with assistance from a few colleagues, let's collaborate to accomplish this task this year, and kindly arrange for a volunteer to transport all toys to Toys for Tots. Additionally, consider donating a few cans of food to support one of our local food pantries. I look forward to seeing you there."
