APD: Three arrested in connection with deadly pedestrian crash on North Lamar
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- At least three people, including a 16-year-old, were arrested in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian crash that killed one person on North Lamar Boulevard Sunday, according to a news release from the Austin Police Department.
Around 8:35 p.m., Austin Police received a Disturbance Hotshot call involving a collision at 12333 North Lamar Boulevard, APD said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the hit pedestrian identified as Ismal Mossaad, 50. He was pronounced dead at the scene, APD said.
Police believe Markell D. Turner, 33, was driving at the time of the crash and faces charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), APD said. Additionally, his passenger, Jarina D. Robinson, 34, faces charges of Possession of Controlled Substances/Narcotics, Austin Police said.

According to APD, the 16-year-old, who was driving in a different vehicle, is facing an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge.
