APD: Suspect at large after man shot, killed at Austin mobile home park
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a person of interest who police believe is connected with a homicide at a southeast Austin mobile home park on Saturday night.
Austin Police said they received a call about a shooting at 10:39 p.m. at 1430 Frontier Drive, which is close to the Frontier Valley Mobile Home Park, near U.S. Highway 183 and Montopolis Drive.
When officers arrived, they found a man unresponsive with “apparent trauma to his body,” APD said.
The man was identified as Mario Palacios-Carrillo, 44, APD said. He died at the scene at 10:56 p.m.
According to police, several people were seen in the area at the time of the incident. Police believe Palacios-Carrillo was shot by an unknown suspect who remains at large.
No arrests have been made as of Monday.
This is being investigated as Austin’s 44th homicide this year.
