'Friends' Central Perk coffee shop to open in Times Square

TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- "Can I get you some coffee?"

Fans of the show "Friends" will soon be able to enjoy a cup of coffee inside the cozy orange sofa room, as the Central Perk Coffeehouse is set to open in the heart of Times Square later this fall.

The coffeehouse, which already has a location in Boston, will feature all-new exclusive "Friends" merchandise.

“When we launched the first Central Perk Coffeehouse in Boston, our goal was always to expand to New York City, a place where fans and friends alike could create their own stories in the city where the series was set,” said Paul Landino, CenPer Holdings, LLC, Company Executive. “Opening in Times Square, known as the crossroads of the world, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to bring that vision to life, offering creative coffee drinks and delicious food in a space that is both familiar and refreshingly modern.”

Fans and coffee connoisseurs will be able to enjoy six original coffee blends at the corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street. The blends will also be available for purchase online.
