Woman who died in southwest Austin crash identified by APD

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department on Monday identified a 33-year-old woman who died in a crash on Sept. 11 in southwest Austin.

The crash happened at about 2:23 p.m. at the intersection of Walsh Tarlton Lane and Pinnacle Road, near Eanes Creek, according to APD.

Police said officers responded to the single-vehicle crash and the driver, identified as Caitlyn Morgan Bedwell, was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

APD said the crash is being investigated as the city's 72nd deadly crash of 2025, totaling 76 deaths.
