Turnout tracker: How many people have voted in the November 2025 election?

AUSTIN (KXAN) — With early voting underway in Texas, KXAN is keeping track of how many Texans have voted in the Nov. 4, 2025, election.

From state constitutional amendments to school district propositions, voters across Central Texas will be deciding important races on the ballot.

Early voting runs from Monday, Oct. 20, through Friday, Oct. 31. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4.

More than 18.4 million Texans are currently registered to vote, according to the Secretary of State's office. In total, 547,883 votes have been cast so far, for a statewide turnout of about 3%.

In Texas, constitutional amendment elections typically occur every two years. In 2023, 14.4% of registered voters in the state cast a ballot, the highest turnout in a constitutional amendment election since 2005. Here's how turnout this year compares to previous elections. For comparison, turnout in the 2024 presidential election was 61.2%.

The maps below show turnout in each of the state's 254 counties, based on data from the Secretary of State's office. Hover over a county (or tap if using a mobile device) to see the data. You can also search for a specific county in the top left of the map.

Bexar County has reported the highest number of votes, with more than 69,000. Harris County is second, with more than 67,000. Two other counties have reported more than 40,000 votes: Travis and Tarrant.

Nineteen counties have surpassed 5% turnout. Loving County has the highest turnout, at 12.1%, followed by Stephens County, at 8%.

Local turnout

Across the 15-county KXAN viewing area, there are 1,799,349 registered voters. More than half of those are in Travis County, while Williamson County accounts for about a quarter of all registered voters locally. About 10% of registered voters in the area live in Hays County.

Turnout locally is highest in Blanco County, at 6.2%, and lowest in Lee County, at 1.1%. Areawide turnout is 4.2%.
