Justin Bieber’s dog of an April Fool’s joke
Sure Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin received congratulations aplenty on social media, but for the most part the singer’s attempt at an April Fool’s prank fell flat.
Bieber had some fans laughing — maybe not at the actual prank itself, but at his seemingly lazy execution.
The “Baby” hit-maker posted a picture of an ultrasound on Instagram on Monday, intimating that he and his new bride Baldwin were expecting their first child.
It didn’t take long for sharp-eyed fans to figure out that Bieber had pulled the image straight out of Wikipedia.
“justin bieber’s pregnancy announcement ultrasound pic is literally from the wikipedia entry for ‘ultrasound,'” writer Nicole Boyce tweeted. “i’m DYING”

That’s mistake number one.
Number two came by way of Baldwin herself, who in the comments section said, “Very funny…”
Maybe, just maybe, Bieber should have given his wife a heads-up on his alleged joke.
But at some point, Bieber did get Baldwin to play along, as evidenced by the set of follow-up photos of Baldwin cradling her stomach in what appears to be a hospital room or clinic setting, completed by an IV drip and two overly attentive, latex-gloved individuals.
“If U thought it was April fools,” read Bieber’s caption.
Again, judging by some of the congratulatory comments, some Beliebers were living up to their fanboy/fangirl nickname.
But in the end, Bieber revealed it was indeed a joke with a second ultrasound image, this one featuring a puppy instead of a baby.
“Wait omg is that a,,,APRIL FOOLS,” Bieber said in the caption.
Ummm — good one?
