Antonio Brown intimidated sexual harassment accuser via text message, SI reports
He sent photos of her children, asking his associates to investigate her, the report says.
Antonio Brown cannot help himself.
Earlier this week, Sports Illustrated reported that he had sexually harassed a woman artist he hired to paint a mural in his home, approaching her while naked with only a hand towel covering his groin.
Late Thursday night, SI’s Robert Klemko reported that Brown sent text messages with photos of the accuser’s children to her in a group text with his associates, asking them to investigate her.
The text messages accused her of making up her story of harassment, saying she must have been paid for it.
“Those her kids and ig Eric she’s awfully broke clearly,” a message reportedly from Brown said, just after an image of three children was sent in the six-person group chat.
In a Twitter thread, Klemko explained how he and SI verified Brown’s identity upon being contacted by the woman accusing him of sexual harassment and refusal to pay for a painting, including a call placed to the number in question, which was answered by a man who sounded like Brown.
This is just the latest in what started out as a frustrating but mostly harmless offseason circus for Raiders fans and turned into a series of disturbing allegations against Brown.
Last week, before this accuser came forward, Brown’s former trainer filed a lawsuit against him, alleging he had raped her. She reportedly spoke to the NFL Monday, but no discipline has been handed down by the league.
The Raiders cut ties with Brown just before their season opener after he got into a screaming match with general manager Mike Mayock and published a video featuring a phone call in which head coach Jon Gruden pleaded with Brown to just play football.
He quickly signed with the Patriots and played in their Week 2 win at Miami, registering four catches and a touchdown. As noted above, the NFL has not announced any discipline against Brown amid these allegations.
