Sponsored: Coming soon in 2020
Find out what new-home communities are being built for release this year in the Bay Area and beyond.
Across the Bay Area and beyond, and with wide ranges in size and price, new-home communities are coming in 2020.
Some coming-soon communities have formed out of buyer interest and sellouts of builders’ and developers’ early phases. Others feature detached homes on good-size lots built on inner-ring suburban infill.
In Fremont’s Warm Springs District, for instance, Robson Homes will open its latest community of 17 new homes in late February 2020. Located on a single street just off of Ursa Drive, Heirloom by Robson will stretch out behind the focal point of the historic Silva House, which was built originally in 1928.
Robson Homes is even restoring and updating the Silva House; the builder has already moved the home from the back of the site to a showcase spot in front. That historic house, which is the only single-story structure out of the combined 18 homesites, has already been reframed and will be available for sale later in 2020.
“Heirloom homes will offer traditional single-family living, with front yards and backyards, driveways and attached two-car garages,” said Mark Robson, president of the privately owned, San Jose-based Robson Homes.
Rare is the new-home community on infill that provides homes with land. And that’s exactly what Heirloom offers. Each detached house will have its own front yard, a private backyard and an attached two-car garage with full driveway. Each also includes a downstairs bedroom suite. Prices have not been released.
“Inside, the homes are open and airy with abundant windows to let in the natural light,” Robson added. “Hardwood floors are standard on the first-floor main living areas and up the stairs. And there are several included high-end features and finishes that you won’t find standard in most new homes.”
The 17 new homes include three floor plans featuring Monterey or Spanish-style exteriors and four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, ranging in size from 2,301 square feet to 3,013 square feet. The 18th (historic) home will feature three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and 2,301 square feet of living space in a single story.
“Heirloom is going to be a great neighborhood to live in,” said Robson. “Warm Springs schools are top performing and the south Fremont location makes it very convenient for those working in the South Bay.”
Also special about Heirloom is that the street of detached homes is positioned in a quiet area surrounded by other single-family-homes.
Farther south, and offering equal proximity to both mountains and ocean, Anderson Homes is releasing new models at Southbrook in Los Banos.
“They’re under construction right now,” said Michael Anderson, vice president of operations for Anderson Homes. “This community will also include some two-story plans and an additional single-story plan.”
The two-story plans are well underway and foundations will be poured for the new single-story plan in early 2020, he added.
“There will be 50 homes in that release including several oversized lots,” said Anderson, noting that the community is close to major retailers and Highway 152 access. The homes, which range in size from 1,409 square feet to 2,460 square feet, are priced from $359,900 up to $420,000. Anderson Homes is currently taking reservations.
Outside the other edge of the Bay Area, Blue Mountain Communities has experienced a terrific response to its new homes at Delta Coves on Bethel Island, according to Joe Klusnick, marketing director for Blue Mountain Communities. The builder continues to roll out new phases there.
“People who want the water lifestyle should visit Delta Coves, where every one of our homes backs to water,” said Klusnick. “We’re even kicking around an additional floor plan idea there.”
