Man killed in Antioch shooting
A man was shot to death in Antioch Wednesday night, the city's second killing of the day.
ANTIOCH — In the city’s second homicide in just over 13 hours, a 35-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday night as he sat in a vehicle, police said Thursday..
The man’s name has not been released. Police said he had addresses both in Antioch and San Francisco.
Police said the shooting happened about 10:51 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Mellissa Circle.
Police said they found the man in the driver’s seat who had been shot. Police said the man had pulled into a driveway when an unknown suspect or suspects approached the vehicle and fired numerous rounds into the car.
The man was wounded several times. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No information about a possible motive has been released yet and no arrests have been made.

The killing was the second homicide of the day in Antioch.
About 9:08 a.m. Wednesday a 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed and a 48-year-old man shot in a confrontation in front of a liquor store in the 400 block of East 18th Street.
Police have not said if they believe there is any connection between the two killings.
