San Bruno: Off the Grid food truck fair returns to Tanforan
Look for sliders, poke, satay, lumpia, tacos and more
The food truck festival so popular pre-pandemic has expanded again on the Peninsula.
The Shops at Tanforan are now hosting Off the Grid on Tuesdays from 5 to 9 p.m., with a rotating selection of local food trucks. Tonight’s San Bruno participants include Curveball Sliders, Da Poke Man, Hula Truck, Los Kuyas, Kabob Trolley, Melina’s Crazy Tacos, Satay by the Bay and Senor Sisig. They’ll be located in the parking lot off Sneath Lane and El Camino Real.
That gives Peninsula residents three food fairs each week. Already Off the Grid has returned to Menlo Park, on Merrill Street near the Caltrain station, and to Leo J. Ryan Park in Foster City. Those are held on Wednesday evenings.
A market at San Francisco International Airport’s Terminal One takes place on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In the East Bay, Off the Grid brings trucks to 138 Trelany Road in Pleasant Hill, also Wednesdays; to the Lake Merritt area (Oakland Museum of California) in Oakland on Friday evenings; and to Alameda’s South Shore Center on midday Saturdays.
