Campbell crime report for the week of July 15
June 27
7:50 a.m. in the 10 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man, 56, was asked to stop bathing in the decorative fountain area outside the theater by employees who were trying to clean it. He threatened to attack one of them, who desired prosecution. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and spit in the direction of officers.
Overnight in the 900 block of Camden Avenue: A Ford was stolen.
8:33 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A transient man, 48, stole food from the store and fled. He was contacted and identified during an in-field show up. He was also in possession of meth and under the influence.
Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: Someone cut out artificial turf and damaged a plaque.
2:45 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Four suspects entered the store, stole merchandise and fled.
8:14 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 22, was traveling at a high rate of speed and doing burnouts. He collided with a curb and was found to be DUI.
30 block of Richlee Drive: Someone was taking clothing from an unlocked vehicle
3:50 a.m. in the 100 block of Railway Avenue: A transient man, 29, had meth, needles and a spark plug he admitted to breaking into cars.
June 28
7:10 a.m. at Bascom and Campbell avenues: A man, 37, was observed driving dangerously. Upon contact, he was barely conscious due to his extreme level of intoxication. A record check showed he had a suspended license and two DUI prior convictions.
10:18 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, a woman, 32, was contacted outside and determined to be under the influence and in possession of Xanax, meth and a meth pipe. A search of vehicles associated to her and another suspect revealed a loaded syringe and illegal fireworks, meth and paraphernalia. The residents had fled prior to officers’ arrival. A search of the residence revealed multiple stashes of meth in various areas of the house, and it is believed the house is being used for narcotics sales and use.
Overnight in the 600 block of East McGlincy Lane: Someone stole items from a storage container.
6:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone made purchases with the victim’s card at various locations.
3:38 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A transient woman, 26, broke glass bottles inside a store and fled. She later returned and stole potato salad and chips. She was located and cited.
8:18 at Winchester Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue: A man, 51, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and had false tabs on the car. A probation search of his house revealed meth and a pipe. He was under the influence and was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
1:26 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took some items without paying for them.
2:18 a.m. at Hamilton and Salmar avenues: A man, 61, was involved in a collision and found to be driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.
8:15 p.m. in the 500 block of West Rincon Avenue: Someone stole electronic items.
June 29
1:20 p.m. at Hollis Avenue and Nido Drive: A woman, 43, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She had a misdemeanor warrant.
1:13 p.m. in the 1300 block of Camden Avenue: During a physical altercation, the suspect asked the victim for money then tried to steal her phone. The suspect pushed the victim during the altercation.
4:40 p.m. in the 400 block of East Hamilton Avenue: Someone spray-painted the victim. The victim desired prosecution.
4:23 p.m. at Camden and Curtner avenues: A man, 32, was contacted and had several misdemeanor warrants.
8:16 p.m. in the 1300 block of Camden Avenue: Someone went to an appointment and did not get in the return taxi.
8:19 p.m. at Capri and Chapman drives: A driver was doing doughnuts and racing down the street.
2141 1800 block of S. Bascom Avenue: Unknown (S) ate and left without paying for it.
June 30
6:58 a.m. in the 900 block of Silacci Drive: Someone was seen leaving the area after an “explosion” was heard by neighbors.
11:38 p.m. in the 300 block of Dunster Drive: A woman, 31, was extremely intoxicated and was going to leave with her 3-year-old. She was throwing items and became belligerent with officers.
1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: The victim left an envelope with cash at his table. Upon returning to the store, he found that someone had stolen the envelope.
July 1
1:38 a.m. in the 400 block of Kenneth Street: Officers located a van that was reported stolen.
12:58 a.m. at Virginia and Sunnyoaks Avenue: A man, 59, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be DUI and he possessed narcotics.
1:10 a.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Latimer Avenue: A man, 30, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was found to be DUI and was arrested.
2:40 a.m. at Highway 17 and Camden Avenue: A man, 27, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He had an outstanding warrant and possessed drug paraphernalia.
3:28 a.m. at Highway 17 and Creekside: A man, 51, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was arrested for reckless driving and for having forged plates.
6 a.m. in the 100 block of Adler Avenue: Someone broke into a locked car and stole items.
Overnight in the 300 block of North First Street: Someone broke into a locked car and stole documents.
12:27 p.m. in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: A transient man, 61, was contacted after he caused a disturbance. He was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Overnight in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: Someone used markers to graffiti.
Marathon Drive and Hamilton Avenue: A driver, 36, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
July 2
10:34 a.m. at South Bascom Avenue and Stokes Street: A man, 36, was contacted by an officer and found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
12:13 p.m. at David Avenue and Monica Lane: A man, 27, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and had a no-bail misdemeanor warrant.
Overnight in the 1500 block of Van Dusen Lane: Someone forced entry into the victim’s property.
12:33 p.m. in the 600 block of Creekside Way: A transient woman, 25, was contacted and found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
Overnight in the 500 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle.
Overnight in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone forced entry into a leasing office.
2:18 p.m. in the 200 block of Alder Avenue: During an altercation, the suspect grabbed the victim, who desired prosecution.
3:50 p.m. at San Tomas Expressway and Budd Avenue: A woman, 44, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She was found to be under the influence of an opiate and marijuana and in possession of heroin, meth, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.
6:44 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 40, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be involved in a domestic violence incident in San Jose, where he choked and punched the victim. He was also found to be DUI with a child in the car.
6:32 p.m. at Bascom and Apricot avenues: A woman, 27, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. She was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine, and was under the influence of a controlled substance. Her passenger, 28, was booked for outstanding warrants and for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessed paraphernalia. Another passenger, 64, possessed methamphetamine and was cited.
Overnight in the 1600 block of Phantom Avenue: Vehicles were stolen overnight.
2:45 a.m. in the 500 block of Kenneth Street: Someone threw rocks through a window and committed more vandalism to a home.
July 3
8:49 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Way: A transient man, 34, was throwing items at passing vehicles and walking in lanes of traffic on Hamilton Avenue He was contacted and determined to be under the influence of meth. A search incident to arrest revealed he was in possession of meth.
Overnight in the 100 block of Rosemary Lane: Someone attempted to steal a car.
8:03 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A woman, 40, was causing a disturbance and found to be drunk in public. She also had several warrants for her arrest.
7:57 p.m. in the 200 block of South Bascom Avenue: Officers got a hit on two stolen plates. A transient woman, 43, was arrested, and personal ID information, meth, a pipe and pepper spray were located in the car.
5 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A car was stolen.
