Study session on Saratoga Retirement Community set for Sept. 27
Retirement community study session
The Saratoga Planning Commission will hold a site visit to the Saratoga Retirement Community on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. at 14500 Fruitvale Ave., followed by a study session at the Saratoga Civic Theater, 13777 Fruitvale Ave., at 7:30 p.m.
Public comments on the project can be submitted to www.saratoga.ca.us/PCcomment. Comments received by 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25 will be included in the Sept. 27 supplemental meeting packet.

Flashback to the ’60s, Vol. 2
Immanuel Lutheran Church is hosting another night of ’60s music with Paul Wesling and friends on Sept. 23. The family-friendly concert will feature songs from artists like John Denver, the Kingston Trio, the Everly Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkel and the Carpenters.
Showtime is 7 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall, 14103 Saratoga Ave. Seating is free but limited. Reservations are requested for planning purposes to ilc2303.eventbrite.com.
Tree House camp
Saratoga Union School District students have the day off on Monday, Oct. 2, when the district’s teachers have a work day, and Tree House will be hosting a special camp day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The program will be held at Saratoga Elementary School and is open to students in grades TK-8. The cost is $75 and includes a morning and afternoon snack. Parents will receive an email with logistics and additional program information prior to Oct. 2.
