Knife-wielding man charges at Campbell police officers
Oct. 1
11 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took property from a storage unit. The victim’s credit card was used on Camden Avenue.
Oct. 2
11:55 p.m. at Hamilton and Central avenues: A man, 23, was found passed out inside his car. He was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
2:51 a.m. at Emory Avenue and Waldo Road: A man was contacted for having outstanding warrants. He resisted arrest and fled in his vehicle with wanton disregard for public safety.
3:26 a.m. at Elwood Drive and Pollard Road: Several suspects broke in and attempted to steal a car. Other cars were also rummaged through. The suspects fled in a black Audi and a white Ford F150 pickup.
Oct. 3
Midnight in the 1500 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone pried open the door to the exterior bathroom and damaged the door. The suspect was on a scooter.
6:26 p.m. in the 1600 block of Villarita Drive: Someone rode up to the victim and threatened to kill him.
6:28 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone stole the victim’s wallet and then used her credit cards to buy products.
9:46 p.m. at the Campbell Community Center: Someone threw a rock at the window.
10:22 p.m. in the 800 block of Gale Drive: A man, 34, was contacted during an argument over a parking space. He had an outstanding warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine.
11:52 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Three juveniles entered and conspired to commit theft. They were confronted by employees, and one suspect slapped one of them and threatened to get a gun, then became combative with officers, kicking one of them. The suspect was booked into juvenile hall. The driver was cited for possessing alcohol.
Oct. 4
2 a.m. in the 300 block of McGlincy Lane: A white 2004 Ford E350 was stolen.
3:38 a.m. at East Hamilton and Leigh avenues: Officers responded to a possible hit and run involving a white 2016 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was located unoccupied with steering column damage. The officers were unable to get ahold of the registered owner, who later reported the vehicle stolen.
6 p.m. in the 600 block of Marathon Drive: Someone gained access to the victim’s payroll application and switched the bank accounts, and the victim’s money went into an unknown account.
Overnight in the 1400 block of Camden Avenue: Someone attempted to force entry into a vehicle. The suspect was driving a gray 2014 Kia Sorrento reported stolen out of San Jose.
7:50 p.m. at Camden and Curtner avenues: A man, 49, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was determined to be DUI drugs and alcohol. (S) was in possession of cocaine.
9:32 p.m. in the 200 block of Rose Court: During an argument, the suspect punched the victim and threw feces at her. While officers were talking to the victim outside the residence, the suspect charged at officers with a knife, and a taser was effectively deployed. During a search of the residence, a 9mm handgun and a loaded magazine were located in a dresser. The suspect is a convicted felon.
4:12 a.m. in the 700 block of West Hamilton Avenue: A woman, 29, was in possession of pepper spray and had a prior felony conviction. She was also in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Oct. 5
9:11 p.m. in the 300 block of West Hacienda Avenue: A woman found her husband in a parked car with the suspect. They started to argue, and the suspect slapped her.
10:07 p.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 29, was causing a disturbance in the parking lot and was too intoxicated to care for himself.
6:40 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Bascom Avenue: A scarlet bicycle was stolen.
9:18 a.m. in the 100 block of Kennedy Avenue: A man, 26, was looking inside of dumpsters when he was confronted by the victim. He threatened to shoot the victim, who feared for his safety and wanted prosecution. The suspect had a felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants.
9:54 a.m. in the 2400 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 57, was causing a disturbance. He had a felony warrant and a misdemeanor warrant.
3:38 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone stole merchandise from the store and fled. The victim desired prosecution.
Oct. 6
8:26 a.m. in the 500 block of Railway Avenue: A 50-year-old violated a served domestic violence restraining order by living in the same apartment complex as the victim and contacting them via text.
9:01 a.m. in the 400 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 45, was causing a disturbance at a business. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone stole merchandise on two different dates and fled in a red Honda Odyssey. The business desired prosecution.
1:58 p.m. in the 600 block of Creekside Way: Someone gained entry into the victim’s room and stole items.
2:05 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone stole merchandise from the store and fled in a White Chevrolet Tahoe.
7:15 p.m. in the 600 block of West Sunnyoaks Avenue: A man, 50, was contacted in an attempt to serve his warrants and attempted to flee on foot. He was seen driving and was found to be DUI.
Oct. 7
Overnight in the 600 block of Almarida Drive: A black/blue GT Aggressor Pro bicycle was stolen from the balcony.
Overnight in the 1200 block of Salerno Drive: A gray Kia Optima was stolen.
10:28 a.m. in the 1000 block of Tolworth Drive: During a custody exchange, a man, 33, would not let the victim leave the residence.
12:16 p.m. in the 00 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man, 26, pushed the victim several times then threw a metal water bottle. He was in violation of a served no-contact domestic violence restraining order and had a warrant. He refused to identify himself and struggled with officers and had to be restrained.
1:01 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Two women stole merchandise and fled in a gray Ford. The business desired prosecution.
8:36 p.m. at San Tomas Expressway and Highway 17: A man, 55, was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to have multiple outstanding warrants and a suspended license due to DUI.
10:20 p.m. in the 600 block of East Campbell Avenue: A man, 50, was seen fleeing from multiple fires started at the park and later admitted to setting them. He was out on bail for arson.
Oct. 8
4:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone broke the window a the business and tried to pull the ATM out.
Overnight at McGlincy Lane and Union Avenue: A white 1995 Dodge R15 truck and a white Ford F250 truck were stolen.
