Reports: Shooting at Half Moon Bay farmworker housing injures one
The shooting occurred just days before the one-year anniversary of the largest mass shooting in the history of San Mateo County, when seven people were shot and killed at two farms in Half Moon Bay.
A shooting at a farmworker housing development in Half Moon Bay reportedly left one injured Saturday night.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s office said a shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m., but has so far declined to release more information.
According to ABC 7, the shooting occurred at the Moonridge apartments on 2001 Miramontes Point Road. A victim was reportedly taken to a local hospital with injuries. MidPen Housing, the company that operates Moonridge, describes the building as “affordable housing for farmworker families.”

A memorial to honor the victims of last year’s shooting was scheduled to take place Sunday afternoon at the Boys & Girls Club in Half Moon Bay.
