Yunusa who was arrested in Kano was initially taken to the police headquarters, Abuja, however as the law stipulates, he had to be transferred to the Bayelsa police command because that was where the crime allegedly took place.
A police source told the Nation that Yunusa was handed over to the command on Wednesday, March 2, the same day Ese was brought back to the state.
“Yunusa is presently here in the Bayelsa police command. He was brought by a team of policemen from the Force Headquarters on Wednesday. He is being detained at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID),” he said.

Vanguard citing police sources reports that the white hijab dress Ese wore on her arrival in Abuja on Tuesday was used in an attempt to cover up her pregnancy, even though her physical condition and looks created a suspicion.
According to the police sources, Ese pregnancy is what motivated IGP Solomon Arase to decide to hand her over to the police gender and child protection unit on arrival in Abuja.
Speaking on Raypower FM while briefing the state governor, Seriake Dickson on the latest development after her release and reunion with her parents, Ese’s father confirmed the daughter’s present status after being with the said man for about five-six months.
