He said it was sad that after the warring factions were served court processes and had been joined, they still run to another court where they employ some judges to grant them exparte orders and conflicting orders and judgments in a few days.
The factional national secretary stated: “This ugly trend began with the Justice Mohammed Liman of the Port Harcourt Division of the Federal High Court.
“He granted an exparte order in respect of the same issues and parties on the 23rd of May, 2016, 12 days after the Federal High Court, Lagos, had become seized of the matter and made orders which forbids the PDP from ‘conducting any election into the offices of the National Chairman, National Secretary and National Auditor occupied by the 1st ( Ali Modu Sheriff), 2nd (Prof. Wale Oladipo) and 3rd Plaintiffs (Alhaji Fatai Adeyanju) respectively pending the determination of the substantive suit.”
The recent statement issued by the PDP is like the opposite to what the party said a few days ago about the judiciary. The party on Friday, August 19 showed gratitude to the judicial arm of government over the Thursday, August 18 Court of Appeal ruling which upheld the election of Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.
